A Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) proposal to increase the flight duty time limits (FDTL) of the cabin crew has got the latter huffing and puffing. Although the feedback of the crew members is invited by the DGCA till May 7, the verdict is mostly negative.

No-frills, budget airlines seem to have lost their lure. Many domestic airlines have had shorter check-in queues and empty seats between January and March, traditionally the peak season for honeymooners.
The last three months have seen a dip in domestic bookings in comparison to the same period last year. The industry expects domestic travel to grow by 25 per cent in 2008 but the first quarter has seen a meagre 10 per cent rise.

I came across this while looking for alternate acco.
I visit Delhi & Mumbai atleast once, and want to visit more places, but the hotel costs seem to make it difficult, hence the search.
I still have to use it, but seems like a promising thing.

RAK Airways, the national airline of the Ras al-Khaimah, a constituent emirate of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will launch its service from Kozhikode International Airport in Kerala from April 23. Kozhikode will be the first point of service of RAK Airways from India. “RAK Airways will be the first foreign airline company to operate daily service from Kozhikode,” P.V. A friend of mine would take street children from the VT station in Mumbai and feed them anything they wanted once a month.
